Here are some answers to frequently asked questions by US Airways passengers.
When can I use online check in?
- If you have an electronic ticket
- If you are not traveling in a group of more than 9 people
- If you are not a special needs passenger (ie. Handicapped, Unaccompanied Child etc.)
Can I check in with or without baggage?
- In case you travel with hand luggage only you may proceed directly to security inspection and the gate and you only show your home-printed boarding
pass to the agents.
- If you travel with luggage you don't need to check in for your flight but you can take your baggage to any skycap (domestic flights only) or drop it at the
airport kiosk (where available) or the ticket counter.
What should I do if my boarding pass does not print correctly?
- Make sure that you have tried to use your browser's print feature to print the boarding pass, just like you would print any other web page. A print
problem relates to your web browser, network or printer and not the Web Check-in product. If you are unable to successfully print your boarding
passes, please proceed
to the airport ticket counter. If you clicked the Check-in & Print Boarding Passes button, you are checked-in.
When should I be at the gate for US Airways flights?
- for domestic flights at least 15 minutes before departure time.
- for international flights at least 30 minutes before departure time (times may vary for some destinations)
What if the name on my passport doesn't exactly match the name on my reservation?
- the name on your reservation must match the name on your passport exactly. If there is a discrepancy, go to
the airport ticket counter with your passport to update your reservation.
Can I upgrade to First Class when I check in online?
- Yes. First, we check to make sure First Class is available on your flight(s). Then, we offer complimentary
upgrades to Preferred Dividend Miles members. All other passengers can purchase an upgrade at the gate
if seats are available.
